May has worked on the development and production of many television drama, comedy and children’s programmes for the UK and the US. Recent credits include THE MUSKETEERS and SILENT WITNESS for the BBC, A.D. for NBC, and WOLFBLOOD for CBBC. Other credits as a script editor include such award-winning comedy series as Mark Haddon’s MICROSOAP and Tim Firth’s PRESTON FRONT. May also produced 30 episodes of the CBBC comedy-drama series, LIVING IT, which she co-created with New Zealand-based writer Gavin Strawhan. In addition to her television work, May works regularly on feature film projects as a script consultant - most recently the BAFTA-nominated indie film, KAJAKI.
As UK Drama Development Executive at Fremantle Media/Talkback Thames, her credits there included ITV dramas PROMOTED TO GLORY, THE LAW and THE BILL spin-off series, BEECH IS BACK. Before relocating to England, May worked in programme acquisitions for A&E Network in New York, and also spent many years working with new playwrights at the Yale Rep Theatre and the National Playwrights’ Conference.
